Well you’ve really been meaning to make that website but you never got around to it. Those pictures and videos you promised yourself you’d share. You think you should start a blog, but you’re not entirely sure how. You don’t know what an HTML is (you’re sure she’s friends with WWW and FPS) and you really don’t care. And to top it off, your budget is close to zero. Luckily, CuriousWorks has the workshop for you!

At our Randle Street warehouse on Saturday, 21st of March from 12pm-4pm, CuriousWorks will be hosting a workshop that shows you how to use free tools on the internet to create your own multimedia website. This workshop is ideal for people who have little to no experience creating their own websites or sharing their content online. In our workshop we will utilise the following free tools:

- Wordpress - to create and host our website/blog
- Flickr - to organise and share our photos on the website
- Youtube - to share videos and embed them on your website
- Google Maps - to BLOW PEOPLE’S MINDS by embedding a map with multimedia content on your website!

At the end of the workshop you will walk away with your very own website with a blog, photos, video and an interactive map!

CuriousWorks is using the workshop day as a fundraiser for our community projects and the cost of the workshop is $99. And of course because CuriousWorks is a registered charity, that means your ticket price is entirely tax-deductable. Epic Win. There are 15 places available so get in quick.

Participants should bring their own laptop and any video or images they have ready to upload. Don’t worry if you have no content, we’ll have lots handy for you to use.

To reserve your place at the workshop just RSVP here on AllAroundYou! Follow this link to find our payment details and you will be well on your way to internet stardom.

For those interested in a more advanced workshop, keep your eyes peeled next month, as we will soon be hosting an advanced tutorial devoted to installing Wordpress software on your own webhost. Something for all the FTP fans out there.
