West End Carnivale is a colourful celebration of world music, roots, reggae, arts and circus culture. Traditionally Carnivale has been used as a platform for Artistic and Political Expression and a way for people to express their inner selves, free from the constraints of conservative so society.
In response to this, and in memory of one of the festival organisers’ best-loved local artists skitL, Carnivale will feature a dedicated Art Market space especially for local Artists/Designers to come and display their wares.
There are 10 free stall spaces available, and a ticket into the festival.
If you would like to be a part of this exciting event, e-mail one example of your work and write a 25 words or less what element of Carnivale you feel your art incorporates. Send your Expression of Interest to stephie.harrison(at)gmail.com by 5pm Friday, 3 April. For more information, visit myspace.com./westendcarnivale
