If you are a Brisbane based artist this grant round is really helpful for getting small - medium sized projects off the ground. You can also apply for professional development money to get yourself out of here, mentored or just simply presented.

The Creative Sparks program is a joint initiative of Brisbane City Council and the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland. This program:
* supports creative projects that enrich Brisbane's communities
* develops the professional practice of local artists and cultural workers
This program offers three categories of funding:
* creative projects that enrich Brisbane’s communities
* new projects promoting professional development
* arts business partnerships
Applications will open on 6 October 2008 and close on 9 February 2009.
