APPLICATIONS OPEN WEDNESDAY 21st JANUARY

APPLICATIONS CLOSE MONDAY 27th APRIL

THE JB SEED JUMP GRANT
The JB Seed JUMP grant is a dynamic opportunity for funding; we are seeking to fund musicians, musical technicians, and arts workers currently undertaking musical projects which will enable them to develop as artistic professionals and expand their income potential. There are 10 funding opportunities of up to $4000 available including three reserved for indigenous artists. We'll fund almost anything you need to further your career except for recording, mixing, mastering or the purchase of musical equipment.

THE JB SEED ART FOR THE PUBLIC GRANT
We are offering grants of up to $5000 for visual artists who are undertaking projects to be delivered free to the public, outdoors or in prominent indoor spaces. We want these works to become a form of social commentary, communication and inspiration between the artist and the general public.

THE JB SEED MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP
The highly successful management workshop initiative will again grant up to 24 managers and self managed artists a place at our intensive workshop with some of the most experienced, innovative and successful music industry professionals in Australia. Should you be successful all you need to do is get yourself to your closest major airport! As an exciting bonus, this year thanks to The Falls Arts and Music Festival (Victoria and Tasmania) and Southbound (Western Australia), one lucky band managed by a JB Seed Management Workshop attendee will be chosen to play at all three festivals, with flights, accommodation and performance fee included!

THE JB SEED JACQUI MCCOY (GEIA) TRUST
This trust seeks to honour the memory of the tireless work of the late Jacqui McCoy (Geia), who devoted much of her life to assisting disadvantaged artists from all backgrounds, particularly Indigenous Australian artists. Every application submitted to The JB Seed in 2009 will automatically be eligible to be awarded funds from The Jacqui McCoy trust. We will be looking for projects that fit Jacqui’s ethos of growing a healthy, vibrant and nurturing Australian arts community, where artists feel empowered and supported to express themselves and become self sufficient.

This year all applications will be submitted online via Sonicbids. Sonicbids have also been kind enough to offer all applicants a free three month membership to their services. Check out what they do, there is no obligation to continue as a member of Sonicbids but you will be asked to sign up temporarily in order to submit your application. If you have problems or questions please check out our Frequently Asked Questions. If you still need help then email.
